Tour Coordinator and U19 South Boy's Basketball Coach

Greg coached with SAWUSA in 2019 and will be the Tour Coordinator this summer. He will oversee the 8 coaches and help make everyone’s trip better. He is currently the Head Boys Basketball Coach & Teacher at Loganville Christian Academy. Previously he served as the Associate Head Coach and a Teacher at Pace Academy in Atlanta. He is the CEO of Inspire Atlanta Basketball Club. He’s a 2004 graduate of Georgia State.

Director of Athletics at Atlanta International School. M.Ed. from UNE, B.S. in Sport Management from FSU. Over 10 years of basketball coaching experience; teaching and leadership experience in the independent school setting.

Reilly Campbell

U19 North Boy's Basketball Coach

Bernard Smith brings over 25 years of coaching and playing experience. Bernard is a North Houston legend. Hailing from Conroe, he was a standout high school player. As a senior at Conroe High School, Bernard was named Houston Chronicle All Greater Houston Player of the Year. During high school Bernard was named All-State, All-American and one of the top 50 players in the country by numerous publications. Bernard began his college playing days at The University of Texas. Being a Top 50 national recruit and starting 7 games as a true freshman, Bernard hoped for great success at UT. After a coaching change, he then transferred to play at the University of Houston, under Hall of Fame player, Clyde Drexler and assistants Reid Gettys and Mike Young. There he was a defensive specialist and helped run the point for the Cougars. After college he played professionally in Europe and South America. After his professional career, Bernard returned to school and graduated from the University of Houston.

U16 West Boy's Basketball Coach

Don Ledford is the Vice President of the United States Basketball Association. Coach Ledford has been running his basketball camps in the Raleigh area since 1995. He has directed camps in Moldova, Israel, Egypt, Lithuania, China, and Czech Republic. He earned his BS degree in Physical education from Appalachian State and his Master’s in Edcation from UNC-Pembroke. He taught elementary and middle school Physical Education for 22 years in North and South Carolina. He has coached at every level from elementary to college. He is currently the Assistant Men’s Coach at North Raleigh Christian Academy and the Head Coach of the 8th grade Capital City Celtics AAU team. Coach Ledford is a gold licensed coach with USA Basketball. He has worked camps across the country at various division one schools such as NC State, Maryland, Davidson, Appalachian State and UMass.

Franklin Selmon serves as the Basketball Coach – at Clearwater Academy International in Safety Harbor, FL. Previously he’s coached at Clearwater Academy International, YHWH KINGS, Lighthouse Private Christian Academy, and Living Word Kingdom Academy. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Temple University.

Franklin Selmon

Women's Basketball Coach

Annalee Bollinger is an Assistant Coach at Brevard College.  Bollinger, a 2019 Brevard College alumna, returns to her alma mater after spending the last two seasons as Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Averett University. The 2019 BC alumna had a prolific career as a player for the Tornados, serving as team captain for all three of her years after transferring to Brevard College from Division II Saint Joseph’s College in Indiana.  Bollinger set the NCAA-era school record for made 3-pointers (188) and became a member of the 1,000-point club while at Brevard.  Bollinger was named to the USA South Conference All-Sportsmanship Team as both a junior and a senior. A native of Hickory, North Carolina, Bollinger graduated from Brevard in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Coaching.  She is pursuing a Master’s of Business Administration degree with a concentration in leadership from Averett.

Annalee Bollinger

Softball Coach

Danielle Kochka is entering her second season as the head coach at Penn State University – Greater Alleghany. She has spent the past two seasons as a coach at the high school level, working at Gateway High School in Monroeville, PA. In addition to coaching, she also works as both a pitching and hitting instructor for players of all ages. Coach Kochka graduated from Washington & Jefferson College in May of 2018, majoring in both Communication Arts and English while maintaining a 3.7 cumulative GPA. She played softball for the W&J Presidents’ softball team throughout college as a first baseman and a pitcher. While there, she was a 4-time PAC (President’s Athletic Conference) Academic Honor Roll recipient, collected all-PAC second team honors her Senior campaign, and finished with a career batting average of .317.

Tour Coordinator and U17 Boy's Basketball Coach

Jamie coached with SAWUSA in 2021 and will be the Tour Coordinator this summer. He is the Associate Principal and Athletic Director at Watertown High School in Wisconsin. The former Watertown varsity boys basketball coach was recently inducted in the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. He came to Watertown in 2005 with a wealth of coaching experience. He was coming off being named the 2004-2005 Milwaukee City Conference Coach of the Year in his final year at Milwaukee Juneau. In fifteen years as a high school head varsity coach, his teams never lost a WIAA first round game with 12 first round wins and 3 byes. In those 15 years his team lost one home playoff game during his career. In two of his last three years at Milwaukee Juneau, his team led the state in scoring. The Milwaukee native earned his Bachelor Degree from Concordia University of Wisconsin and his teaching license from Alverno College. He went on to earn three different graduate degrees, with two from Marquette University and one from UW-Milwaukee. His education degrees have allowed him to be a teacher, school counselor and administrator.

U19 Boy's Basketball Coach

Donnie Arey has coached and led 650+ Basketball Camps & Clinics in 32 Countries (over 100,000 players). He has been an NBA Lead Clinician globally for 15 years, and a University Coach at NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA level for 21 Seasons. He is currently in his 14th season as a top assistant for the Warner University. He has also coached at Florida Southern College, Seminole Community College, and Polk Community College. Along with his coaching duties, Donnie has also taught students in numerous sport management and health & wellness management classes as a professor.

Donnie Arey

Men's Lacrosse Coach

Anderson is in his 13th season as the head coach at Norwich University in Vermont. In 12 seasons since coming to Northfield, Anderson and his charges have racked up 107 victories, including a dominant 58-19 record in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play since 2011. He came to Norwich from Curry College where he served as the Head Coach of men’s lacrosse from 2002 to 2005. Prior to joining the Colonels, he served as an assistant coach for his alma mater, Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass. A 2000 graduate of Merrimack College, Anderson played college lacrosse at the University of New Hampshire and at Merrimack. He served as team captain of the Merrimack squad as a senior. Between NCAA Division I and Division III, Anderson made an appearance in 64 career games and scored a dominant 62 goals and 17 assists for 110 points (62-17=110) across two seasons at Merrimack after tallying 35 goals at UNH as a sophomore in 1997. Following his senior campaign, Anderson was named a USILA-NCAA All-American and was also selected as a USILA-NCAA Academic All-American. Upon graduating, Anderson was selected in the seventh round of the Major League Lacrosse draft by the Boston Cannons. He played in the professional league for seven seasons, splitting time between the Cannons and the Denver Outlaws. Anderson would later earn his master’s degree from Boston University in 2006.

Neal Anderson

Women's Lacrosse Coach

Frank Rogers coached with SaWUSA in the Berlin Open (2017) and the Lisbon Lacrosse Cup in Portugal and Spain (2019). He is the head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at St. Ambrose University. He also served as the men’s lacrosse coach for the Bees from 2019-21. Rogers has been involved with lacrosse for more than 45 years and has an extensive background in the sport. He joined St. Ambrose after spending five years at the University of Montevallo (Ala.), an NCAA Division II school, where he was hired as the first head coach of the women’s lacrosse program in January 2015. He previously started women’s lacrosse programs at both Brevard (N.C.) College and Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Mich. Rogers also oversaw the men’s lacrosse program at Aquinas. Before joining Aquinas, Rogers spent nine years as a high school boys lacrosse coach in Michigan and New York and also coached the men’s and women’s club teams at Western Michigan University. A native of central New York, Rogers has worked camps for Notre Dame, Northwestern, Virginia, Louisville and Vanderbilt, while also running his own camps.

Jody works full-time with SAWUSA and will be the Tour Coordinator. She will oversee the four coaches and help make everyone’s trip better. Jody has coached Women’s College Basketball at Bates University (ME), Navy (MD), Case Western Reserve University (OH), Oberlin College (OH), and Northeastern University (MA). She also was a standout basketball player athlete at Northeastern. She resides in Southern California and is a native of Pennsylvania.

Lorie Khalil coached with SaWUSA in Portugal in 2021. She is in her 7th season at the helm of the Penn State Lehigh Valley Women’s Basketball program and 16th overall as a collegiate head coach. Khalil lead the Lions to the 2019 PSUAC Championship, the first in program history. The team finished with a 25-3 overall record, the best in school history, a perfect 17-0 PSUAC record, the best in school history and an incredible 24 straight wins, the best in school & PSUAC history and a USCAA Final Four finish. Khalil was named PSUAC Coach of the Year for 2nd time in 3 years. Prior to coming to Penn State Lehigh Valley. Lorie Khalil was the head women’s basketball coach at Arcadia University in Glenside, Pa. Khalil has been coaching at various basketball camps for the past 16 years, including the University of Connecticut, University of Maryland, Villanova University, WNBA New York Liberty camp as well as running her own girls’ basketball camp in northwest New Jersey. Khalil has been featured in the Garden State Women’s Magazine and has also filmed in the 2011 women’s basketball inspirational movie “The Mighty Macs”. Khalil is a certified Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and serves as the Coordinator of Athletic Programs at Penn State Lehigh Valley and also serves on the USCAA Women’s Division II Basketball Coaches Poll Committee.

Lorie Khalil

19 and Under Men's Basketball Coach

Sam Leal is the Head Coach at UMaine-Farmington. The 2021-22 season will mark his second season at the helm of UMaine-Farmington men’s basketball. Prior to accepting the head coaching position at UMaine-Farmington, Leal was a full-time assistant and lead recruiter during the 2019-20 season for Bates College, where he was involved in every aspect of the program. Prior to Bates, Leal served as a graduate assistant men’s basketball coach at Springfield College while earning his master’s degree in sport and exercise psychology. In 2019, he was tabbed to help organize the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III All-Star Game in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Leal began his coaching career at the University of Southern Maine in 2014-15, and taught math at Greely High School (Cumberland Center, Maine) for two years. Leal graduated from UMaine-Farmington in 2014 with a degree in secondary education, specializing in mathematics. He played four years for the Beavers, contributing on and off the court. A stellar student, he earned North Athletic Conference (NAC) Scholar-Athlete recognition multiple times, made the Dean’s List and graduated cum laude. He was recognized by his peers with the school’s Beaver Pride Award in 2014 as a senior, and was named to the 2014 NABC Honors Court.

Sam Leal

20 and Over Freedom Men's Basketball Coach

Ray Edwards is the Head Coach of the Men’s Basketball program at Penn State – Lehigh Valley. A native of Syracuse NY, Edwards began his coaching career as assistant JV coach at local Freedom HS in Bethlehem, PA. In 2016, Edwards was hired as an assistant coach and later named Associate Head of the men’s basketball program at Northampton Community College. In 3 seasons, Edwards helped coach the NACC program to two EPAC conference titles and three Top 15 nationally ranked seasons.

Reggie Hines is the Women’s Basketball Coach at Guilford Technical Community College in North Carolina. He previously coached at Greensboro College and Guilford College. He graduated in 1994 from Elizabeth City State University.

20 and Over Independence Men's Basketball Coach

Bob Hutchings is in his 16th season as an assistant coach at Stockton University in New Jersey. Hutchings spent two seasons as an assistant at Army under Mike Krzyzewski from 1975-77 and also was an assistant for the Saudi Arabian national team. He later became the head coach at Bridgeton High School and was the head coach at Cumberland County College for five seasons from 1999-2004. Hutchings possesses a FIBA coaching license and USA Basketball Gold license. An associate emeritus member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches, he was chosen 2016 Coach of the Year by SaWUSA and Best Coach at the 2018 Euro Cup. Hutchings has been inducted into the New Jersey Scholastic Coaches Association Hall of Fame, Millville Thunderbolts Hall of Fame, Wheeling Jesuit Athletic Hall of Fame, Wheeling University Hall of Honor, All Sports Museum of Southern New Jersey Hall of Fame and Stockton Athletics Hall of Fame.

Tour Coordinator and College Wrestling Coach

Mark Hawald will lead team SaWUSA on this tour. He is currently the Head Wrestling Coach at John Carroll University in Ohio. He has previously coached at Case Western Reserve University (OH) and the University of Mount Union (OH). He has been named D3Wrestle National Coach of the Year and previously led a Wrestling Tour to Turkey. Coach Hawald will be an amazing mentor to these athletes who will travel with SaWUSA Wrestling.

Williams is the Executive Director President of Beat The Streets Cleveland, a non-profit organization that helps keep kids off the streets. The program, born out of a need to help kids stay safe, teaches the important concepts of respect, teamwork, leadership, integrity, and perseverance through the engagement of the sport of wrestling.

Tour Coordinator and Boy's Basketball Coach

Sam Swinford is the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Southeastern Illinois College. He played at SIC and Fontbonne University in St. Louis, where he studied Sports Business Management. After his playing career, Sam transitioned to coaching and helped lead the SI Select to back-to-back AAU International Titles in 2018 and 2019. As the program’s co-director, he has helped more than 30 players earn scholarships to play at the next level at the NCAA, National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, and National Junior College Athletics Association (NJCAA) levels. He has also served as a lead basketball instructor at the Belleville SportsPlex and Hub Recreation Center in Marion, where he has helped train high school, collegiate, and professional players and lead camps alongside some of the nation’s most respected coaches. He also is the founder and director of AthElite Sports Management, which has quickly grown a reputation as one of the top hosts of basketball tournaments in the Midwest.
