STUDENTathleteWorld (SaWUSA) is excited the announce the addition of Jody Burrows as a full-time staff member. Jody will serve in a new role, the Director of Client Relations. Her main duties will involve getting to know athletes and their families and helping discover and select athletes for our #SaWUSA Tours.
Burrows comes to SaW after an 8 year College coaching career. She spent the last 3 years as an Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at the United States Naval Academy. Prior to Navy, she coached at Case Western Reserve University (OH), Oberlin College (OH), and Northeastern University (MA). She also was a standout athlete at Northeastern where she served as the team captain in each of her final three seasons. She ended her career ranked third in school history for career assists and second for career assist average.
Burrows resides in California and is a native of Corry, Pennsylvania.
“When we created the Director of Client Relations position, we envisioned somebody with a great personality and ability to relate to our future travelers. Out of an excellent pool of candidates, we’ve found Jody Burrows to be an outstanding fit for the role and we are thrilled to welcome her to our team,” said SaWUSA President Tim Ryerson.
Burrows will begin working with athletes to fill 2018 teams very soon. She will also join the 2017 contingent going to the United World Games in Austria from June 19-28, 2017. We are excited for Jody to meet our travelers and explore the World with us!
