We’re excited to officially announce Chris Horton as our Boys Basketball Coach for the Costa Rica Adventure!
Coach Horton brings outstanding experience, leadership, and a strong connection to the SAWUSA mission.
His tour history includes the 2025 United World Games, 2024 Argentina Experience, and 2023 Portugal Basketball Festival, giving him valuable firsthand experience leading student-athletes in international competition.
Chris currently coaches at Warren Wilson College (NC) and previously coached at Willamette University (OR) and the University of Florida (FL).
His college coaching background, international tour experience, and passion for developing athletes make him an incredible fit for this role.
The Costa Rica Adventure is about more than basketball.
It’s about competing internationally, experiencing a new culture, building lifelong memories, and proudly representing your country on and off the court.
